Bad Women – Hallie Rubenhold

Fans of the ‘The Five’ author will be delighted to hear that Hallie is launching a new podcast, ‘Bad Women: the Ripper Retold’ which is available from October 5th on all podcast providers.

Bad Women follows on from The Five – it not only examines the lives of the five victims, but explores the issues that led to their deaths – addiction, homelessness, the poverty trap, domestic violence, prejudice and misogyny- issues that are still very much a part of our world today.

In the 15 episodes that will be dropped between Oct 5th and the end of December, Hallie will take you into the dark corners of the Victorian era and into the even more disturbing recesses of our own world.

She’ll be speaking to a variety of experts, from historians to judges, sex workers and forensic scientists, true crime podcasters, abuse survivors, teachers, descendants of the five victims, and maybe even a Ripperologist or two.
